The 2013 ANZPT Perth came a close this week after a grueling 5 days of action on the tables. The event was held at the Crown Perth in Western Australia that saw 219 players enter hoping to be crowned the winner. Perth is the 3rd stop in Season 5 of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour.
At the start of day 5 there were 9 players remaining with four of those dealing with short stacks and looking for a quick double up. The blinds started at $3000/$6000 and included a $1000 ante with the average stack holding just over 70 blinds left. This meant most players had the stacks to play smart and choose their hands carefully.
When all was said and done only one player remained and that was 
who won the first place prize of AU$114,000. Having a title behind him will certainly be a driving force as he enters the 6th event and pushes on with hopes of winning the series.
