888Holdings announces results for the first half

888 Holdings has released information about their latest results regarding financials. The latest report relates to the first six months of the year and has made notations about revenue being increased, reportedly due to poker and casino operations.

888 have reported that it increased its revenue by 7.1% to $200.3 million for the reporting period. The company paid a 3 cent dividend for each ordinary share, an increase of $0.05 from the previous period.

A number of the highlights from the report shows that the revenue generated from casino operations increased 13.1% and that resulted in a gain of $94.2 million. Poker operations also increased 13.1% and a gain of $46.7 million and bingo saw a reduction of $22 million or 18.1%. An agreement was entered into that will see Kambi Sports work towards developing a sportsbetting app for 888. The fastest growing sector within 888’s business was its mobile division and it represented almost 18% of all revenue within the United Kingdom.

A 888 representative stated “As a company we have made strong progress in the emerging markets and have seen incredibly growth in the Italian and Spanish markets. Those results have provided us with additional confidence going forward and will allow the company to capitalize on new opportunities within the United States”
